The spice in any romantasy series, let alone the spicy chapters in the Crescent City series by Sarah J. Maas may be your jam, or may not be your cup of tea. And either option is okay!
And that’s why I’ve written this guide. Because I know of people who search where to find the spicy chapters in fantasy books because they want to skip past it, and I know of people who may wanna head straight there. So you do you!
Between Bryce and Hunt and Ruhn and a mysterious agent, the Crescent City series starts out fairly tame, and then gets much spicier for book two and three.
Anyway, here is your ultimate Crescent City spice levels and chapters map and I hope it comes in handy for you, no matter which way you choose to navigate!
House of Earth and Blood: Book one.
House of Earth and Blood, book one of the Crescent City series, is the beginning of a special spark between half-fae, half human FMC, Bryce Quinlan, and Archangel MMC, Hunt Athalar.
They share a lot of slow burn tension and chemistry, naturally. However, the spice is minimal in book one.

Good news for the spice enthusiasts and meh news for the people who avoid spice! House of Breath and Sky is the spiciest book in the Crescent City series, in my opinion.
Bryce and Hunt start off exploring new feelings and their relationship and try to take things slow as a new couple, but things get progressively spicier as the book progresses.
And it’s not just Bryce and Hunt getting jiggy with it. Ruhn and his mysterious love interest get some page time too.

House of Flame and Shadow, with Hunt and Bryce an established couple and mated pair, is more focused on a lot of plot and action. However, Ruhn (and Lydia!) get time in the spicy spotlight in a couple of places and Hunt and Bryce also still manage to find some time to get their rocks off amidst saving the world. So don’t worry.
